Terms of Service

Effective March 1, 2026

By using PromptShield you agree to these terms. PromptShield helps you review prompts in ChatGPT; you remain responsible for what you send. Pro is a paid subscription processed by Stripe.

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of PromptShield software and services operated by PromptShield.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract and meet applicable minimum age requirements in your region.

Accounts

You are responsible for your email account and extension access. Pro recovery requires signing in with the same verified email.

Free & Pro

Free includes 3 optimizations per local day at full optimizer quality. Pro costs $7.99/month for unlimited optimizations with the same optimizer quality.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Cancel via the customer portal in extension Settings → Account. Refund terms will be published before public launch checkout (owner decision required).

AI limitations

Optimized prompts are suggestions. You must review content before sending. PromptShield does not guarantee specific model outcomes, accuracy, or time savings.

Intellectual property

PromptShield owns the service and branding. You retain rights to prompts you write. You grant us a limited license to process prompts solely to provide the service.

Termination

We may suspend access for abuse or violations. You may stop using PromptShield by uninstalling the extension.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. LIABILITY IS LIMITED AS DESCRIBED IN THE FULL TERMS ON FILE WITH COUNSEL (governing law — owner decision required).
