Grok

Grok prompt optimizer

A one-line Grok prompt is easy to send and hard to steer. If there is a real task under the joke or the shorthand, write that task down: the outcome, the constraint, and the format.

Say the actual task

“Roast my landing page” and “point out three unclear claims on this landing page, and leave the jokes out” will not get the same draft. If you want a serious edit, say so.

For planning or coding, include the limit that matters: time, stack, budget, or what you already tried. The model cannot see that from a fragment.

PromptShield in Grok’s web chat

PromptShield supports Grok as one of seven web chats in Chrome. Quick Check shows an improved prompt and feedback. You apply it only if you want it. The extension never sends the prompt on its own.

Before and after

A written comparison, not a live optimization. Use it to see what specificity changes.

Rough prompt

plan my week

Clearer prompt

Plan a launch week with about four focused hours a day. Put Friday’s launch first and leave Wednesday afternoon empty.

A fragment hides the deadline and the constraint.

Prompt checklist

A useful check before you send. It is not a scientific requirement, and a short prompt can still be enough when the chat already has the missing pieces.

Want PromptShield inside the chat?

PromptShield works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and four other AI chats. You review the improved prompt before you use it. The free plan includes 3 successful optimizations a day, and no credit card is required.

PromptShield installs in Chrome on a computer. It is not a mobile extension. Copy the install link and open it later in desktop Chrome.

Questions

Quick Check sends the prompt to PromptShield over HTTPS so it can return feedback and an improved version. PromptShield does not send that prompt to the AI chat for you. You review the result and decide whether to use it. Optional conversation context stays off until you turn it on.

PromptShield is a Chrome extension for desktop Chrome. It works inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, and Meta AI’s web chat. It is not a mobile app, and Meta AI support is not a Facebook or Instagram integration.
